Pete Doherty arrived at his solo gig at The Underground in Stoke late last night and without any warning.

Pete left his sold out crowd waiting for over two and a half hours before deciding to turn up. Some didn't bother waiting or couldn't wait any longer and many fans were expressing their outrage via social media at Doherty's non-arrival. But after announcing he was 'running late' and would arrive after 11pm, Doherty rolled up just after midnight and played to the fans who hung out to see The Libertines frontman. But could he have thought the gig was Friday? Earlier in the day a post on The Libertines suggests this:

"On his way up to Scotland for the Barras Peter will be doing a small solo show at The Underground in Stoke on the Friday. Some of the first Shambles shows were up there so expect a good atmosphere at this one if you're heading along."

Even though Doherty arrived over 2 and a half hours late, fans at the Underground soon forgave him after what was said to be one incredible gig at The Underground. After turning from hero to villian and back to hero again in one evening, it's safe to say Pete Doherty had an eventful Wednesday night in Stoke. But will he turn up on time at Hyde Park? Libertines fans across the country will be saying their prayes tonight.
